48H Film Project

For the third time the WeMakeVR team signed up for the 48 Hour Film Project. In this competition 23 teams compete, every team makes a film within one weekend. It starts on friday at 19.00h, on which time everyteam gets signed to a genre, a line, a prop and a character. At that moment the writing of the story starts. The whole film has to be delivered to the organisation on Sunday at 19.00h. With the previous films, Unjust and Hollow, WeMakeVR got to test out some interesting camera angles and implement CGI elements. This time the goal was to push the production design to the next level.
The story is set in a dystopian future where due to over-stimulation (through social media) the younger generations have lost their ability to distinguish colours. They can get back this ability by winning an international live-gameshow. Even though those chances are slim, they are enough to keep everyone engaged. Almost everyone, some people of the older generations do not quite understand why the kids of today would keep doing something that is bad for them. Forgetting, they also made mistakes themselves.
I got the chance to work with some of the best film professionals in the netherlands. My roles in this project were data handeling and doing the title design. As you may have seen in the banner photo of this page, I've also played in the film as an extra!
